Really Simple Security focuses on hardening a running WordPress install directly — stronger login protection, two-factor authentication, and security headers, applied while WordPress serves every request as normal.
It hardens the WordPress application itself. Static Shield instead reduces how much of that application is publicly reachable in the first place by serving a static release. Hardening wp-admin and reducing wp-admin's public reachability solve related but different problems.
Hardening tools like this are still worth applying to whatever admin/login path you keep reachable — Vault Mode (Pro) narrows the window it's open, a hardening plugin narrows what happens during that window.
