Jetpack bundles many independently-toggleable features, so its compatibility is read from whichever modules are actually active on your site, not treated as one fixed profile. Related posts, sharing buttons, stats, image CDN, and gallery carousel are all static-friendly; contact forms, subscriptions, and comments are bridged; search stays dynamic.
Depends on which modules are active
Related posts, sharing buttons, stats, image CDN (Photon), and the gallery carousel are all served from the static release when active.
Jetpack Search stays dynamic if enabled; Single Sign-On is an admin-side, login-only concern.
If the Forms or Subscriptions modules are active, submissions are bridged through admin-ajax.php.
No special setup — Jetpack and its active modules are detected automatically.
There's no single answer for "does Jetpack need Hybrid mode" — it genuinely depends on your module configuration. Enabling Search or Single Sign-On specifically is what pushes the recommendation toward Hybrid; enabling only Forms or Subscriptions favors Static + Bridges instead; and modules like Related Posts, Stats, or the image CDN don't affect the recommendation at all.
